The Royals host the Carmel Greyhounds tonight, JV and Freshman game at 6:00 pm with the varsity at 7:30 pm. Tonight, the Royals welcome back 1999 Hamilton Southeastern graduate Erica (Roudebush) Mundt. Erika is newest member of the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame. During her high school career at HSE, Erika scored 1,276 points, earning AP Third Team All-State honors, All-County recognition three times, and All-Conference honors. She also earned a spot on the Indy Star Super Team and played a pivotal role in leading Hamilton Southeastern to its first-ever sectional championship in 1999, a milestone moment for the program. Erika’s success continued at the collegiate level at Cleveland State University, where she established herself as one of the premier players in the Horizon League. She was named Horizon League MVP in 2002, earned First Team All-Horizon League honors, and was a two-time team MVP fore the Vikings. As both a junior and senior, Erica led her team in scoring, averaging 18 points per game each season. She also led the entire Horizon League in scoring as a junior at 18.2 points per game, and again as a senior at 18.8 points per game, an extraordinary accomplishment at the Division I level. Through her scoring ability, leadership, and competitive grit, Erika Roudebush set a standard of what we want Hamilton Southeastern girls' basketball to look like. Erika and her husband Nathan live in Iowa City have three sons, Nolan, Macklin and Lincoln. Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Erika (Roudebush) Mundt, a truly deserving inductee into the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame.
