The varsity softball team opened up their season with a 13-1 win over North Central. Grace Swedarsky had four strikeouts in two innings. Jaycee McCarter had four strikeouts in two innings. Natavia Wright wrapped up the game with two strikeouts in the 5th inning. The Royals had 14 hits total. Addy Richmond served up a double and a triple, gathering 3 RBIs and 2 runs. Madison Burlingame had a double and a two-run homerun, earning one run and 2 RBIs. Jaycee McCarter led at the plate with three hard singles and a three-run homerun, totaling up 2 runs and 5 RBIs. The team is back in action on Friday against Carmel at HSE with a 6pm start!
