The Royals Varsity Girls Tennis had an amazing day today. Our conference is loaded at tennis with 6 of the 8 teams ranked in the state, but with our performance today, we outpaced some of them and improved our 6th place standing in the regular season to 4th place in this tournament. Julia Anderson held down the 1 singles spot and preserved her 4th place seed by finishing 4th. Super-Freshman Kaitlyn Kelley improved from her 5th place seed to finish 3rd at 2 singles. And Ella Tappendorf was also able to improve her 4th place seed to finish 3rd at 3 singles. Not to be outdone, our 1 doubles team of Molly Slota and Lily Denton improved their 7th place seed and finished 6th. And Lucy Denton and Meredith Walters held the 5th place seed at 2 doubles. This is just more validation that the Royals continue to improve every day. Great job ladies.
