Hamilton Southeastern High School

The Lady Royals Track Team traveled to Lafayette Jeff High School for the IHSAA Regional on Tuesday. Despite winning 5 of the 16 events and placing runner up in 2 others, the team finished with 78 points which was second to Carmel with 116 points. All placing in the top 3 automatically advance to the IHSAA State Meet on June 5 at North Central and once again Anissa Lammie and Chloe Senefeld led the way. Anissa broke her own school record and set a new regional record in the 400 as she broke 55 seconds for the first time running 54.73. Chloe also broke the regional record in the 300 hurdles with her time of 41.91. The 2 were joined by Ava Kashani and Kaleah McCarter on the 4x400 relay where they set another regional record running 3:48.56. All 3 were the fastest times in the state across all 8 regional meets. Kaleah was also a regional champ in the 100 with a personal best time of 12.18 seconds. McCarter and Senefeld were joined by Micaiah Bullock and Laila Ehrgott as they won the 4x100 relay in a season best time of 47.78. Zoe Gebhart earned runner up as she ran another personal best time of 10:41.06 in the 3200 run. Gebhart and Lammie were joined by Evie Patch and Kate Lux on the 4x800 relay that was also runner up in a season best time of 9:19.37. Senefeld also placed 5th in the 100 hurdles in a time of 15.25 which earned her a callback to state. Riley Williams cleared 10' 9" in the pole vault for 7th place and has also earned a callback to state. Cianna Cunningham scored points in the 100 and 200 as she placed 7th and 6th respectively and Evie Patch got the final scoring spot as she placed 8th in the 800. With qualifiers in 8 of 16 events the team looks for another top 3 finish at state as they have done the last 2 years. Full results are attached below.
