The Lady Royals Track team earned a top five finish at the IHSAA State Meet for the 3rd year in a row. Carmel won the meet with 49.5 points, Bloomington South was second with 35, Whiteland third with 33, Concordia Lutheran fourth with 29 and HSE was fifth with 28 points. Junior, Anissa Lammie became the 6th individual state champion in school history as she won the 400 meter dash in a new school record time of 54.32 seconds. That time also ranks her 9th All Time in Indiana history. Senior, Chloe Senefeld earned runner-up honors in the 300 hurdles for the second straight year with a time of 42.19 seconds. The two were joined by sophomores, Cianna Cunningham and Kaleah McCarter on the 4x400 meter relay that earned only the 4th relay state championship in school history with a time of 3:47.29 that ranks 3rd All Time for HSE. The team battled through some disappointments on the day and only scored in those 3 events. Competing at the state meet is quite an accomplishment, even without making the medal stand. The others that competed were senior, Riley Williams 13th in the pole vault with an 11' 0" clearance, McCarter 18th in the 100 dash, and junior, Zoe Gebhart 29th in the 3200 run. The 4x800 relay team included Gebhart and Lammie as well as sophomores Evie Patch and Kate Lux as they placed 16th. Senefeld and McCarter were joined by seniors, Laila Ehrgott and Micaiah Bullock on the 4x100 relay that had an exchange out of the zone and were disqualified. https://www.ihsaa.org/sports/girls/track-field/2025-26-tournament?round=state-finals See attachment below for HSE results
