Carazo brings an impressive wrestling background and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the mat. A former individual state champion and three-time team state champion in high school, he continued his wrestling career collegiately (Indiana University & Wabash College). Women's wrestling is relatively new in Indiana, and I am confident that HSE will grow into one of the premier programs in the state. The most important responsibility of a coach is to develop great athletes who are even better people, focusing heavily on sportsmanship, accountability, and resilience." For Carazo, this position represents more than just coaching—it is an opportunity to continue giving back to a sport that has shaped his life. "From competing to coaching, wrestling has been an integral part of my life for over twenty-five years. I love this sport and have loved sharing it with a new generation, especially with my daughter.” Hamilton Southeastern Athletic Director Tilmon Clark expressed excitement about the future of the Royals girls wrestling program under Carazo's leadership. "We are thrilled to welcome the Carazo Family to the Royals Family. Kahlil has demonstrated a genuine passion for developing student-athletes and growing the sport of girls wrestling in our community. His championship experience, commitment to character, and vision for the future make him the ideal leader for our program. We are excited to see the impact he will have on our student athletes and the continued growth of girls wrestling at Hamilton Southeastern. I want to personally thank retiring Head Coach, Creston Gallup, for building the foundation of girls wrestling here at Hamilton Southeastern High School." Hamilton Southeastern High School looks forward to the future of Royals Girls Wrestling under Coach Carazo's leadership and is excited to support his vision of building a premier program that develops champions in competition, the classroom, and the community.
