Boy JV Soccer Home Opening vs Cathedral Irish on Tuesday, August 18th After a spirited first half which provided many good scoring opportunities for the JV Royals, the teams head to grab some halftime shade tied at 0-0. Coach Hornaday and his squad had a good discussion and made adjustments. In the opening minutes of the second half, the JV Royals ended their scoring drought when #36, Luke Borzymowski, scored on a header off of a well-placed corner kick.  Then, Levi Rifner (#4) fought his way through 3 defenders and snuck one past the keeper to find the back of the net to put the Royals up 2-0 with 24:00 minutes left in the second half.  The unrelenting JV Royals went up 3-0 when a free kick made it through the defense inside the box and #32 CJ Green got a foot on the ball and snuck it past the net minder.  The final score of the exciting home opener was a 3-0 win for the Royals over the Cathedral Irish.
