The Lady Royals kicked off their season Saturday, racing a 4k at Northview Church in Carmel. The meet featured a unique format, with separate Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior races. In the FR/SO race Sophomore Ali Johnson led the Royals, finishing 16th and setting a new personal best time at 4k of 16:05 signaling a breakout season ahead. Sophomore Charlotte Dragoo (29th) and Freshman Quinn Feher (33rd) also had solid performances, earning top-40 ribbons. In her first race as a Lady Royal, Junior Anya Zoeller put in a late surge to win finishing in an impressive time of 13:40.7. Teammate Zoe Gebhart (SR) followed closely finishing 3rd with a personal best time of 14:38.1 while Junior Evie Patch also set a personal best placing 26th in 16:30.5. Combined results across both races placed the Lady Royals 5th overall with 141 points.
