HSE Boys Soccer earned a hard-fought 2-0 conference win over Franklin Central Saturday night. The Royals controlled much of the match and took a 1-0 lead into halftime after Jake Borcherding (13)) found the back of the net. The second half became increasingly physical, but HSE stayed composed. The Royals’ defense held strong, containing Franklin Central’s offense while HSE continued to create opportunities. Mason MacEwen (7) was fouled in the box while making a play on goal and stepped up to bury the penalty kick, giving the Royals a 2-0 advantage. Final: HSE 2, Franklin Central 0.
