Hamilton Southeastern Athletics Announces Kacey Hudson as Varsity Boys Volleyball Head Coach FISHERS, IN — September 16, 2026 — Hamilton Southeastern High School is proud to announce Kacey Hudson as the new head coach of the Hamilton Southeastern Boys Volleyball program. Hudson brings a strong connection to Hamilton Southeastern High School, assistant coaching experience, and a proven commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. She currently serves as an Algebra 1 teacher at Hamilton Southeastern High School and has been an assistant coach with the HSE Boys Volleyball program during the 2025-26 season. She also currently coaches HSE Freshman Girls Volleyball Coach. Prior to joining Hamilton Southeastern, Hudson coached at Lafayette Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School from 2018-2021. Her continued involvement in volleyball, combined with her experience as an educator and coach at HSE, has provided her with a strong foundation for leading the Royals' boys volleyball program. Hudson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Holy Cross College at Notre Dame in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Secondary Education from IU Indianapolis, which she expects to complete in 2027. Hudson said the culture at Hamilton Southeastern was a major factor in her desire to continue her career with the Royals. “I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to lead this program and work alongside our players and families. My goal is to build a program centered around development, accountability, hard work, and being a great teammate. I’m looking forward to continuing a culture our players are proud to be a part of and continuing to grow in the game together.” Hudson's coaching philosophy centers on development, accountability, and a team-first culture. “My responsibility as a coach is not simply to just win matches, but to develop athletes who are confident, competitive, disciplined, and ready to lead,” Hudson said. “I want our gym to be a place where mistakes are opportunities to learn, effort and attitude are non-negotiable, and no individual is bigger than the team. Winning matters, and we will compete to win, but our success will ultimately be measured by the growth of our athletes and the culture we continue to build together.” Hamilton Southeastern Athletic Director Tilmon Clark expressed his excitement about Hudson taking the reins of the program, pointing to her ability to build meaningful relationships with students and her experience as both an educator and coach. “We are extremely excited to welcome Kacey Hudson as the next head coach of HSE Boys Volleyball,” Clark said. “Kacey has already demonstrated that she understands what it means to be a Royal. She builds genuine relationships with our student-athletes, creates a positive experience for the students she works with, and understands that coaching is about much more than what happens on the court.” “Her experience as an Algebra teacher and as a coach within our volleyball programs gives her a unique perspective and a strong foundation to lead this program,” Clark continued. “She knows our students, understands our culture, and has a clear vision for developing young people while building a competitive volleyball program. We believe Kacey is the right person to continue building upon the foundation of HSE Boys Volleyball, and we are excited to see where she leads this program.” The opportunity to lead the Royals is particularly meaningful to Hudson because of the relationships she has already developed within the HSE community. “This opportunity means so much to me because I have already had the opportunity to build relationships with so many of our athletes and see what this program is capable of becoming,” Hudson said. “Volleyball has given me so much, and being able to help these players grow, compete, and find that same love for the game is incredibly rewarding. Having the opportunity to shape the culture and future of the program means a lot to me, and I want to continue something that our players, families, and school can be proud of.” Hamilton Southeastern Athletics looks forward to supporting Coach Hudson and the Royals Boys Volleyball program as she begins this new chapter of leadership. Royal Pride!
