The HSE Boys Varsity started strong on Tuesday night vs Zionsville, the Hoosier Crossroads Conference leader. Mason MacEwen scored within the first 4 minutes after an incredible individual effort to put the Royals up 1-0 vs the Eagles. The remainder of the half saw the Royals battling hard - creating many opportunities to go ahead another score but also defending strong against the strong Zionsville counterattack. The first half ended 1-0 Royals. The second half saw much of the same back and forth. Zionsville found the equalizer midway through the half bringing the score 1-1. The Royals continued to battle hard but unfortunately ceded a second goal from the Eagles with 20 seconds left in the second half leading to a tough 1-2 loss. The Royals finish out their regular season play at Carmel on Thursday, October 1st.
