By Becky Lathrop | Oct 16, 2026 9:30 PM

The HSE Boys Soccer team defeated the Harrison Raiders 3-0 on Thursday night in the 2026 IHSAA Regional Semi-final game. This year the Royals were able to get the monkey off their back with the win - having lost in PKs (2024) and OT (2025) vs. the Raiders in the Regional semi finals the past two years. After taking 5-10 minutes to find their rhythm, the Royals scored first. Mason MacEwen (7) delivered a perfect cross across the box with an excellent finish by Saint Jafri (10). Royals 1-0. Not long after, Cooper Perez (8) played an incredible through ball to Mason MacEwen (7) who found the back of the net to bring the Royals to 2-0. Lastly, with 6 minutes left in the first half, Ashton Wood (19) delivered a perfect corner kick into the box allowing Matthew Lathrop (12) to capitalize with a header goal to bring the Royals up 3-0 into the half. The second half found the Royals possessing the field and clock - limiting any and all Raider possibilities. HSE was able to top the talented Harrison Raiders 3-0 and move forward to the Regional Final vs. Carroll on Saturday, 10 17 in Kokomo at 4pm. Photo Credit: Southeastern Sports Network
