HCC Girls Volleyball Athlete of the Year - Lindsey Mangelson

HCC Head Volleyball coaches have selected Lindsey Mangelson as the conference athlete of the year. The 6’2” Senior led the HCC Co-Champion Hamilton Southeastern Royals to a 24-2 season. Mangelson recorded 529 kills and 50 blocks during her senior season. In addition, Lindsey served 52 aces and dished out 20 assists. On defense, she recorded 211 digs. Coach Jason Young says, “Lindsey is a difference maker; she is a big reason we were able to win back to back IHSAAA State Championships. She broke the single season kill record at HSE. She is an outstanding teammate and one of the best players I have had the privilege of coaching.” Mangelson was named first team All State as a Junior and Senior. During the course of her 3 year career, Lindsey’s Royals lost one HCC match.
