It was a great atmosphere as two top 5 ranked teams kicked off the start of the season. The game was back and forth for the first three quarters before HSE pulled away in the 4th quarter to earn a 66 – 56 victory over a talented LN squad. The Royals shot 51% from the floor and 50% from 3 point range. Maya Makalusky scored 31 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Kennedy Holman recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kayla Stidham scored 10 points. The team got great minutes from Addison, Maine, Abby Brown, and Kayla Stidham as they were taking turns battling in the post. The Royals host Ben Davis Saturday morning with a 11:00 am JV tip.
