The Girls Varsity defeated cross town rival Fishers 47 - 34 to earn the Mudsock trophy. The Royals got off to a slow start and fell behind early and trailed by 2 at halftime. The Royals gained the lead early in the third quarter before pulling away int he fourth quarter to earn the victory. Maya Makalusky had 12 points, 8 rebounds and had 11 deflections. Kennedy Holman had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The Royals play in a loaded Hall of Fame classic on Friday Dec. 27th. The Royals play in the second game against undefeated South Knox with an approximate 12:45 start. The consolation game will be at 6:00 with the championship game start around 7:45.
