Girls Varsity Basketball defeats Pike

The Royals finished their regular season with a road win over Pike HS 76 - 64. The Royals got down 6 early but went on a 14 - 2 run to gain the lead they would not give up. The Royals led by 7 at half and got the lead up to 16 before Pike made a run int he 4th quarter, but the Royals were able to steady the ship to gain the victory. The Royals battled a little adversity as they had a player out sick and ended up fouling out a few players. There were a lot of fouls called both ways and the Royals capitalized as they shot 26 of 30 from the foul line. Maya Makalusky hit for 30 points before fouling out. Kennedy Holman had 20 points and dished out 5 assists. Kayla Stidham and Kayla Brinley had 9 and 8 points respectively while Maine Hooks added 5 points on the evening.
