The Royals had to fight from behind to earn a 46 - 38 victory over Westfield for the sectional 8 championship. The Royals were down 11 in the second period and 9 with 4 minutes left int he third quarter when Ant Green hit a three that seemed to spark the Royals. The team used the fan support to bump up their defensive intensity and created some turnovers that led to baskets on consecutive possessions to gain a 3 point lead at the end of the third period. Westfield hit a 3 to start the 4th quarter, but the Royals answered with a basket and never looked back as they were able to cut down the nets after the game. Maya Makalusky had 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Kennedy Holman had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
