Girls Track Opens Season Strong

The Lady Royals Track team hosted the Blue and White Relays Indoor meet at Anderson University Saturday, March 8. The meet was a qualifier for the HSR Indoor Finals on March 29 and no team scores were kept. Visit this link for more info about the HSR Finals https://hsr.iatccc.org/ Meet Highlights Senior, Elia Blackmore set a new indoor school record in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.90 which is currently ranked 3rd in the state. Freshman, Kaleah McCarter ran 8.03 in the 60 dash which ranks 8th all-time for HSE. Senior, Elizabeth Butler ran 11:05.66 in the 3200 which currently ranks 6th in the state. Sophomore, Zoe Gebhart, ran 11:40.18 in the 3200 which ranks her 20th in the state and 8th all time for HSE. Senior, Katie Wooden won the shot put with a toss of 35' 2.25" which ranks her 17th in the state. All 4 relays were victorious in the meet. The 4x400 team of Ciara Kepner, Addison Smith, Anissa Lammie, and Chloe Senefeld ran 3:58.25 which is the fastest time in the state. The 4x800 relay team of Smith, Anaya Lammie, Kepner, and Catey Campbell ran 9:49.32 which is 5th in the state right now. The 4x200 relay team of McCarter, Senefeld, Micaiah Bullock, and Anissa Lammie ran 1:45.31 which is 6th in the state right now. The Distance Medley Relay team of Campbell, Kayla Brinley, Ava Powers, and Butler ran 12:51.49 which ranks 8th in the state. Full results and team splits are attached to this post.
