Girls Track 3rd at HCC Indoor

The Lady Royals Track team placed 3rd in the HCC Indoor Meet at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the State Fairgrounds. The team had 3 first place finishers and all 3 broke meet records as well! Senior Elizabeth Butler broke her own meet and school record set in 2023 by running 10:45.05 in the 3200 meter run which is currently ranked 3rd in the state. Elia Blackmore set a new school and meet record in the 60 meter hurdles with a state leading time of 8.75. The 4x400 relay of Ciara Kepner, Addison Smith, Anissa Lammie, and Chloe Senefeld ended the night with a state leading 3:56.19 which broke the meet record and ranks 2nd all-time at HSE. The other 3 relays placed 4th in the meet. The 4x800 relay team of Catey Campbell, Smith, Ava Powers, and Kepner ran 9:32.48 which currently ranks 5th in the state and 3rd all-time at HSE. The 4x200 relay team of Kaleah McCarter, Senefeld, Ava Kashani, and Anissa Lammie ran 1:44.58 which currently ranks 7th in the state and 5th all-time at HSE. The Distance Medley Relay team of Campbell, Kayla Brinley, Anaya Lammie, and Butler ran 12:36.26 which also ranks 7th in the state and 7th all-time at HSE. Other scorers were Zoe Gebhart 5th in the 3200, Sensear Reynolds 5th in the 60 hurdles at 9.70 seconds which ranks 8th all-time at HSE, Katie Wooden 6th in the shot put, Riley Williams 7th in the pole vault, Natalie Arnold 7th in the long jump at 16' 2.5" which is 10th all-time at HSE, Olivia Maynard 8th in the pole vault at 9' 6" which is 9th all-time at HSE, and McCarter 8th in the 60 dash in a time of 7.94 seconds which moves her up to 4th all-time at HSE.
