The HSE varsity softball team defeated Carmel 10-3 this evening. Grace Swedarsky was the winning pitcher with 15 strikeouts. The Royals had 10 hits, with Makena Burlingame, Maya Valenta and Tori Bricker each getting two singles. Chloe Smith earned a triple and Madison Burlingame with a double. The Royals take on Greenfield Central on Tuesday, away at 6pm.
