Outlasting the rain, hitting through the wind, and overcoming the cold the varsity girls tennis team traveled to the Delta invite and came in 4th among another group of ranked tennis teams. We started the day announcing we were here with a 5-0 win over Greenfield Central. Then we fought hard, but suffered a loss against Bishop Chatard in the second round. Both those matches were played at the Yorktown courts. After those rounds we traveled to Delta High School to face Delta. Again, we played competative, but just came up short. Still a great day for the Royals. The Lineup for today was: 1 singles - Julia Anderson 2 singles - Evelyn Hiner 3 singles - Meredith Walters 1 Doubles - Naina Patwardhan / Ella Tappendorf 2 Doubles - Bella Crider / Avery Sumner And don't forget our great Alternates Addie Kaus and Taylor Ducey who played a great match and won against Greenfield central.
