The Varsity Royals came away with a 1-1 tie against Franklin Central on Saturday evening, 8/30. The Flashes opened scoring in the first half with a strike off of a free kick, but HSE answered after halftime, netting the equalizer (Jose Charris #5) to even the match at 1-1. HSE generated numerous additional chances throughout the second half but could not find the finishing touch. Strong defensive play and steady goalkeeping held firm preventing Franklin Central from regaining the lead. The Varsity Royals play next at Avon on Tuesday, 9/2.
