The Freshman Boys Soccer Team kicked off their second home game of the season against the Guerin Eagles and it was a fast-paced game from the start. It was another strong performance by Royals net minder, Mayson Osborne (1) with Matthew Davidson (13) adding a timely defensive stop in front of the goal to keep the game scoreless. With 3:01 left in the first half, Jake Tedford (19) crossed up the Eagles net minder and put the ball into the bottom left corner of the net to put the Royals ahead 1-0. Guerin scored an equalizer goal with 17 minutes to go in the second half on a defensive breakdown. But, with 9:00 left in the second half Dwight Perez (3) split the defense at the top of the box and beat the keeper on the bottom right side of the goal to put the Royals up 2-1! This brings the Freshman Royals record to 2-0-3 on the season. Next Tuesday, the Royals travel across town for the first of their two games against the Fishers Tigers.
