Despite multiple injuries and a couple players unable to compete, the Royals brought their best effort to West Lafayette to face the Harrison Raiders in the regional semifinal. The Raiders struck first, scoring off a corner just 4 minutes into the game. The Royals responded with determination - winning most 50/50 balls and battling hard across the field. Their persistence paid off when Gavin Boyle (#15) blocked a defender's clearance, setting up Andreas Mancillas (#7), who calmly finished to tie the game 1-1. The score was even at half. In the second half, both teams continued the intense fight. Harrison capitalized on a direct kick that was headed into the net, putting them ahead 2-1. The Royals kept pressing and created several dangerous chances, but could not find the equalizer. The match ended 1-2, bringing a strong Royals 2025 season to a close. An excellent year of effort, growth and teamwork. Thank you seniors!
